Social media fatigue & my last three gigs

Hey, it's been a while. Not the best introduction if you want to be successful on social media. But do I really want to? Let's talk about my last gigs...
To be honest, this year was one of the hardest in my career so far. Maybe an early mid-life crisis? Sounds too big. I don't know. My musical endeavors felt pointless, I'm struggling to find techno peers, not to talk about an audience for my music. Posting on Instagram was last on my list. All together: Not the best circumstances to be productive. Still, my last months kind of were.
I played three events. The first two were private for friends and yesterday (as of writing this post) a public event called Kultursommer in Tempelhof, Berlin. Each gig pushed me forward a lot...
1. Gig | My new techno liveset
In May was the first time I played my new techno liveset. When I rehearsed and refreshed it, it came back easily. This time—as the set was not brand-new anymore—it felt more natural to play. Good transitions and great fun! Next level achieved ✅
2. Gig | First album revival
When my friend asked me to play my first album at her birthday, I took it as a challenge. Preparing my old songs and porting them into my new setup was a lot of work but worth doing! My first album (Winning Team) was written on the Model:Samples by Elektron. When I connected it to my Deluge, a lot of memories and old song ideas came back. Note to myself: Come back to it and sample sounds and loops. It's a treasure box!
3. Gig | Playing 2 hours is possible
Looking back now, the other two gigs seem like the perfect preparation for what was coming next: A two-hour liveset, filled entirely with my music! I quickly decided that this was the point at which I can (and timewise HAVE TO) play a journey through all my music so far. And what a ride it was!
Not everything went as smoothly as I hoped. But still it was a very nice gig and the general "vibe" was really good. Looking back at my older releases, I'm still proud of what I achieved. It's fun to play and nice to listen to. Don't forget your roots, people!
Readjusting / Preparing
Those gigs taught me something (again): It's worth making music, it's even fun and some real people like it. This gives me new energy for the next chapter: Album four. The friends that know me have heard it before, I set myself the goal to release at least one album a year. It worked for three years now. Year four is now officially in preparation ;)
Drop a comment if you want to give me a push for my album. I may need it!
