One of my favorite moments in a live set: when one track seamlessly morphs into the next. Here, the drum loop from the previous song keeps running while "My First DJ" builds energy. I slowly open up the synth by increasing the FM amount, pushing it toward something more aggressive — until the track finally drops at full force.

"My First DJ" has been part of my live sets for a long time — released on 08.12.2023 and now fully in techno mode.

 
Hello, my name is mxmx. I'm a live act and music producer based in Berlin. Coming from a rock, pop background, techno gives me a new perspective on sound design, structure and flow. That's why I'm trying to find out what techno guitar is. Creating a musical space in which electric guitar blends in with atmospheric pads, synthesizers and driving bass drums is where I feel at home.
