Album release: tr/ue

Albumcover tr/ue by mxmx

I'm proud to present my third album: "tr/ue". This album completes my shift from pop / rock based songwriting on my first album "Winning Team" to dancefloor-compatible producitions on "My First DJ (nonstop)" my second album and now to actual techno tracks with my latest album "tr/ue". My creative goal is to put out one album a year. This means when you listen through my discography you can get a pretty good idea of my musical journey in the last years.

What it's about

tr/ue is a dark, driving techno album exploring the fragmentation of truth in a polarized world. Static electronic structures collide with the raw, live energy of electric guitar, creating tension between control and escape. The record moves through extremes — pressure, confinement, desire for more — while questioning where truth really lives: globally, personally, and within ourselves. tr/ue is a sonic reflection of a time where certainty dissolves and identity is constantly challenged.

In short "tr/ue" stands for deconstruction of truth itself. It is cut in half, changed, manipulated and (ab)used. That's what inspired me while writing the music for my album. Here are the tracks:

You probably already know: Buying my album helps me A LOT 🔥 It can be hard to create music, publish it all on your own and being part of the constant fight for attention in social media. If you buy my music you signal: "I like your music. It's worth spending money for it. I listen to your music." That's amazing and all I wish for as an artist!

Hello, my name is mxmx. I'm a live act and music producer based in Berlin. Coming from a rock, pop background, techno gives me a new perspective on sound design, structure and flow. That's why I'm trying to find out what techno guitar is. Creating a musical space in which electric guitar blends in with atmospheric pads, synthesizers and driving bass drums is where I feel at home.

Aside from mxmx, I also work as a music teacher & songwriter. I'm happily married and love good filter coffee. If you think this sounds too nice, here's something I don't like: racing bikes and most people sitting on them.

I've been making a living as a musician since 2014. If you want to help me to continue doing so, you can support me on Ko-fi 🙌
